Since 2016, Jamie has proudly served the WMA community as a science faculty member, baseball coach, dorm parent and advisor. During that time, he has built an award-winning middle school science program that inspired students to think creatively and achieve at the highest levels. Over the years, Jamie has also seen how meaningful summer experiences help children grow, discover new passions and build lasting friendships.

Jacob Silvester
Assistant Director of Auxiliary Programs
Director of Summer Camps
Jacob joins Summer@WMA with a strong background in education, athletics and youth development. A graduate of Springfield College with a degree in Physical Education, Jacob has spent the past several years working with students as a teacher, coach and mentor in both school and athletic settings. His experience includes coaching collegiate football, leading youth programming and creating engaging environments where children can build confidence, develop new skills and have fun.
In addition to his work in schools and athletics, Jacob brings extensive summer camp experience from his three years at St. Mark’s Summer, where he served as the Director of Sports and Games. As an inaugural staff member, he played an important role in helping shape the camp’s culture, programming and daily operations from the very beginning. During his time there, Jacob led a wide variety of activities for campers of all ages while also assisting with ropes course facilitation, helping students build teamwork, resilience and self-confidence in a safe and supportive environment.
