Innovation @ SummerWMA
Step into the future with our exciting Innovation Camps, where curiosity meets hands-on creativity! Campers dive into a wide range of dynamic, skill-building experiences from drones, coding and Lego Robotics to entrepreneurship, stock market exploration and eco-friendly projects like greenhouse-to-table learning. They’ll design, build, experiment and problem-solve through activities such as drone challenges and cooking – all in a fun, collaborative environment. Guided Wilbraham & Monson Academy’s Core Values: Live Clean. Work Hard. Play Fair. Speak True. – these camps encourage campers to think big, innovate boldly and bring their ideas to life.
Enrichment camps will spend the first half of each day diving into their specialized program focus. In the afternoons, campers transition into classic Summer@WMA fun—swimming, games and excursions that let them experience a little bit of everything camp has to offer.

ADVENTURES IN CODING
Grades 5–6
1 One-week session
Offered Session 1: June 22-26
Campers adventure through code as they begin with game design, move on to basic JavaScript art and enjoy Python games. No prior typing experience or coding experience required. Sculpt your code muscles in this adventure and leave having learned to code!

BUDDING ENTREPRENEURS
Led by Fern Valley Farms Staff, hosted by Summer@WMA

This program empowers students with an entrepreneurial mindset to develop a plan for their very own business ideas, drawing from such disciplines as marketing, finance and strategy, in a supportive environment fostering teamwork. From designing marketing flyers to estimating profits, students have fun while developing business savvy!

CodeREV KIDS ROBOTICS
Inspired by CodeREV Kids
Grades 5–6

Build, code and race custom robotic car kits! Campers enter the world of engineering and robotics with Arduino. Campers also focus on coding as they program their Creator Bot to conquer fun challenges and to integrate motors, lights, sounds, sensors, claws and more! 3D printing included.

DRONE TOGETHER ENRICHMENT
Grades 3–5 & Grades 6–8

Let’s learn how to fly! Spend part of your summer in one of the fastest-growing fields in technology drone flying. Whether you’re new to drones or already have some experience, this hands-on camp welcomes all levels of flyers.
Campers will start by learning the basics of drone flight and safety before advancing to more challenging and exciting opportunities as their skills grow. Each day features new activities designed to build confidence and creativity from obstacle courses and team challenges to flying games and races. Campers will even have the chance to design their own challenges, making every flight a unique adventure.
In the second week, we’ll take things to the next level with DroneTogether’s innovative game design and team activity challenges. With a foundation in flying skills, campers will collaborate to solve problems, complete missions, and compete in friendly competitions like Mars Mission, Top Gun, Drone Golf, Quidditch (real-life version) and The Floor is Lava.

FINANCE CLUB
Grades 3–5
1 Two-week sessions
Offered Session 5: Aug. 10-14 & Aug. 17-21
Learn how to manage your money in this program promoting essential life skills! Set your financial goals, develop a budget from scratch, shop for a credit card and calculate the monthly cost of your dream car.
Students also learn about mortgages, FICO scores, taxes and the dangers of piling up debt. Through simulations and hands-on activities, students explore financial decisions they will have to make in the future.

JUNIOR CEOs
Grades 6–8

Offered Session 2: June 29-July 3 & July 6-10
How would you like to be the boss of Apple or Amazon for a day? In this leadership program, you can! Students act as CEOs for leading companies and work in groups to make strategic recommendations to address real business issues.
Case studies include popular companies, such as Coke, McDonald’s, Under Armor, Nike, Tesla, Uber and more! Students enhance their problem-solving skills, develop business savvy and cultivate a strategic mindset as future leaders.

LEGO MASTERS
Grades 3–4 & Grades 5–6

Calling all Lego Masters, we are offering a brand new summer enrichment experience at Summer@WMA where LEGO®-style creativity meets real-world excitement.

ROBLOX STUDIO GAME DESIGN

Roblex is one of the hottest places in the universe to make games, with cutting edge graphics and new, amazing game-building tools. Campers use Roblox’s built-in editor to create 3D worlds and then use the popular LUA coding language to code games and share their game to the worldwide Roblox community!

STOCK MARKET BULLS & BEARS
Grades 6–8

Learn how you can start investing at a young age in this fully interactive program! Build your own $100,000 stock portfolio and trade stocks like Apple, Nike or Amazon with a cool investing simulation tool.
